I have done a LOT of electrical circuit board repair and feel I could fix this if I could just get some information on the board and it's components. I would like to find if there was a schematic or component diagram for this board - as it looks VERY simple.

In any case, I pulled the unit out of the furnace and the cover off the motor controller - and I found a burned trace on the board. There are 2 different PN's on the unit 5SME44JG2006A (which I think is a GE part # AND HC23CE116 (which I think is a Carrier Part #) It is a GE motor that apparently has been discontinued - though it appears as though a replacement is available through Carrier. After running through a few tests, I determined that the ECM motor/control was bad.

I was not getting heat and saw the error code 4-2. I have a Carrier Model 58MVB with a bad inducer motor/controller assembly.

I'm unsure of the model furnace I have (GUA Series Deluxe Energy Saver Forced Draft Upflow Gas Fired Furnace is the majority of the information I have :P), but I've looked for some basic trouble shooting information, and wouldn't mind some advice from another human. I've turned and left the unit off now, and am thinking of just calling a repair man, but I wouldn't mind a) understanding a bit more about what's going on, and b) know if it's something I can personally fix, relatively easily. Flames in the lower chamber, and a couple clicks, a little heat, then nothing. I see the flames in the burner chamber (? forgive my lack of knowledge about my furnace, this is the first time I've every dealt with one personally), I hear some clicks, which I assume is the ignition sequence, and I feel a little bit of heat going through the ducts, but it quickly fades and it attempts the ignition sequence again. Where, before it, would work after a reset, it now seems that the ignition sequence is not being completed. So, I go to give this a try, and the furnace is no longer working at all now. So now I clutter your forum with it's own separate post. I apologize for posting on an old post, but thought perhaps I might get the attention of people who seemed knowledgeable about my situation without much hassle. I'm more than likely going to give the wiring a test as was mentioned earlier, but I thought I'd ask here first and see if what I'm describing might indicate a faulty unit or faulty wiring before even going out and getting a volt meter or anything like that. No blinky light and it went back to heating the house, but now, it will randomly stop heating again (still going, but not actually providing any heat) until I turn it on and off again. After the unit started up again, everything was fine.

I noticed my 50E47-140 W-R had it's red light blinking, but I don't have the repair manual and I'm not entirely sure where to get it, so before calling anyone about it, I tried simply "turning it off and turning it on again". Due to the modern designs of engineers, Rinnai EnergySaver has low sound effects and safety features like sealed combustion and a cool-touch cabinet. It is available for propane or Rinnai gasoline which offers a lot of warmth for a small price.
